3 Days In the Children's Book Project

Today, I uploaded a Work-In-Progress that I've recorded in the previous days. (See below)

Since I jumped ahead, and using stock knowledge to push through with the project, I'm glad I did it and I think I'm progressing faster this way!

There are a couple of actions I keep repeating that I need to research for shortcuts, such as:

Blender Shortcuts

Slide Edge : GG (Hit "G" twice)

Extrude Along Normals : Alt + E > Select "Extrude Faces Along Normals" (Opens Extrude Options. Select "...Along Normals")

Join : Ctrl + J or Cmd () + J (In Object Mode ("Tab" to toggle modes): Join 2 or more meshes.)

Separate: P > "Selected" (Separates selected face/s inn Edit Mode ["Tab" to toggle modes])

Insert Edge Loop : Cmd () + R

After reviewing my process video, I reckon I may have overused the "Insert Edge Loop" when I could have just extruded fewer faces to achieve the same result with lesser steps. Since when I 'Insert Edge Loop', most of the time, I edit and had to 'Slide Edge'. Though, now that I know the shortcut, I don't think that would be much of an issue.

Other shortcuts I need to figure out soon is the "Set Origin to Cursor, etc." to "Freeze Transform" (the latter being an Autodesk Maya term).

Most of these, I already knew before... it's time to exercise those muscles again!

Discovered Free* Music Library

Glad I discovered another Free *Attribution Required* Music Library for use on YouTube and other social media sites! It's called Purple Planet! It's where I got the music I used for the video linked above. It's 'free' for personal projects. To use for commercial projects, purchasing a license is required.

'Til the next progress video!
